The primary cultivar is Ogliarola del Vulture, estate-grown in a grove aged 30-40 years, where the soil is comprised of volcanic layers of lava, lapilli, ash, and clay. This small production is harvested by hand and milled between granite stones. Very low production, only 2500 half-liter bottles, and only a small allocation comes to the US.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eYour nose will be delighted with aromas of dill, fennel, artichoke, pepper and hay. On the palate, it is intensely fruity and complex with citrusy-spicy notes.
